Kenyans want the new Constitution NOW

Kenyans have been promised of a new Constitution for way too long now.  If there was time for leadership, this is themoment. The members of parliament have spent enough time discussing this document in Naivasha [a town northwest of Nairobi] and in the boardrooms for way too long.

It is now the time to deliver to the Kenyans.  Time for moving the goal post again is over.  We are asking boththe president and the prime minister to rally their respective troops and vote to grant Kenyans a new constitution.

The amendments that the members of parliament are proposing should not be used to derail what Kenyans have waited for all these years.  It does not matter how many amendments they can come up with, because thefinal document they will be voting on will still not be perfect but better than the current one.

Their goal should be to deliver to the Kenyans an elastic enough document that will help our countrybecome more democratic over the years.
