(Cambridge, Mass., May 8, 2008) – Cambridge cable TV has a new Spanish-language TV program. Called "Vida Latina," the 27-minute variety show profiles the Latino community in mainly Cambridge and Boston.

The topics on the show will include science, medicine, education, culture, sports and Latino music.

One of the show's three producers is Gema Carolina Real. Irene Bosch and Karin Koch, her two co-producers, say they want to support Latinos in Cambridge and Boston by promoting cultural, social and scientific activities that reflect their many talents.

Moreover, profiles and interviews will "portray Latinos as hardworking people of integrity [who are] pursuing their dreams and aspirations," the producers each told EthnicNewz.org in separate e-mails.

Bosch, who is also a professor of medicine for the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, would like the program to help Latinos get health-related information, too, as well as help them better understand international and local issues.

"Most importantly, we would like to bring...people to [the program] who are the real actors in the...Latino communities, to exhibit their expert points of views and show their talents in the arts," she said.
