The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has relaunched a Spanish-language Web site, www.cdc.gov/spanish [1], that provides information on health issues of relevance to Latino communities, according to a press release from the CDC.
Relaunched in October 2007, the site covers topics such as asthma, cancer, HIV/AIDS, immunizations, children's health, diabetes, occupational hazards and autism.
According to a press release of the CDC, its new "CDC en Español" site provides quick access to 20 most–requested topics of information, a user–friendly A-Z index, and other features to help people more efficiently find health and science information.
Categories of information include:
* Disease and Illness (Enfermedades y Afecciones)
* Healthy Lifestyle (Vida Saludable)
* Children's Health (Salud Infantil)
* Environmental Health (Salud Ambiental)
* Health for Travelers (Salud del Viajero)
* Health at Different Stages of Life and for Different Groups People (Etapas de la Vida y Poblaciones)
* Health and Safety at the Work Place (Seguridad y Salud en el Lugar de Trabajo)
* Autism (Autismo).
