Kim McLarin is a former journalist for the New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Associated Press and other news organizations.  

She is currently writer-in-residence at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.

She is also the author of critically-acclaimed novels Taming It Down and Meeting of the Water.
