On October 15 and 16, 2008, global diversity leader Carole Copeland Thomas will partner with Bentley College to host a two-day Multicultural Symposium and career expo to forge cross-cultural exchange, conversation, ideas and partnerships worldwide.

WHERE:
  Bentley College
               Waltham
, Mass., but the purpose is to take the symposium global.

SPEAKERS include:
...Liz Walker, WBZ-TV Channel 4’s award-winning journalist
...Dr. Gloria White-Hammond, international woman’s rights activist and physician
...Stephen Crosby, Commonwealth Compact cofounder and dean of the McCormack Graduate School of  Policy Studies @ UMASS Boston
...Paul Condrin, president of Personal Markets at Liberty Mutual Group

Young adults and professionals will have the opportunity to build new strategic alliances that will forge stronger relationships across the global divisions of ethnicity, race, gender, politics, class and ideological differences.

The Multicultural Symposium is more than a passing conversation. This is an assertive platform to launch ongoing global discourse in a series of such dialogues to occur over the next few years.

Business professionals, community advocates, faith based leaders, entrepreneurs, academicians, government leaders and the like will participate in this interactive exchange in between conferences.

This series underscores an historic year during which we have seen the Olympics open the market doors of China to the rest of the world and the rise of Senator Barack Obama as the first black presidential candidate of a major American political party.
