(Boston, Mass., Sept. 17, 2008)--Ferdinand Alvaro, a partner in Adorno & Yoss law firm, was announced today as Gov. Deval Patrick's latest appointee to the board of directors for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA).

Alvaro fills the board seat that is designated for a director who has expertise in administration and finance.

"I'm pleased [to be appointed] and I look forward to to helping the MBTA meet its many challenges," he told EthnicNEWz.org.
